Meet Sara
Sara Parker is a Portland, Oregon-based GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® trainer whose work is rooted in over two decades of devoted study, practice, and teaching movement.
With a foundation in dance (B.S., University of Oregon; M.F.A., University of Utah) and advanced GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® training with Master Trainers including Jane Gotch, Chantal Deeble, Emma Kingston, Karen Mullen, Nora Heiber, and Debra Rose, Sara brings a rare level of precision, artistry, and discernment into her sessions. She is also a certified yoga instructor with over 18 years of personal practice and more than a decade of teaching, seamlessly integrating breath, fluidity, and awareness into her work.
A lifelong student of movement, Sara approaches the body as both an instrument and a source of intelligence. Her teaching is shaped by a deep sensitivity to language, communication, and expression. Over the course of her career, she has worked with individuals navigating burnout, rebuilding confidence, healing self-worth, moving through addiction, and crossing pivotal life thresholds. What she has consistently witnessed is that when people engage their bodies with intention and expression, something fundamental reorganizes from how they move to how they relate to themselves, their choices, and the direction of their lives.
At its core, her work is an invitation: to inhabit yourself more fully, to engage your life more consciously, and to recognize that the way you move is inseparable from the way you live.
